These bulbs offer a more intense light with a broader spectrum resulting in faster growth and bigger yields. This is due to the fact that the 400v ballasts convert 230v electricity int 400 volts to run the lamps at higher frequencies. 

These bulbs have been designed so that they are not affected by being turned up or down. They will allow you to change the output level with out any negative effects.
