Why use a nutrient heater?
Temperature is one of the most important factors that can alter the amount of dissolved oxygen within your nutrient solution. Oxygen is very important for the plants roots and its ability to absorb the essential nutrients that it requires. The ability of water to hold oxygen is directly related to its temperature so a nutrient heater is the solution to maintaining the optimal temperature during colder periods. Temperatures that are too cold will cause the plant's growth to slow and eventually stop altogether.
The optimal temperature for a nutrient reservoir is 63 to 72°F (17 to 22°C).
This submersible HAILEA Glass Heater is fully thermostatically controlled and is ideal for the heating of nutrient in tanks.
Suitable for 150 - 260 litre tanks.
How to use a 200W (150-260L) Hailea Water / Nutrient Heater
- Install the supporting bracket
- Insert the nutrient heater
- Rotate the knob and make the arrow point to the desired temperature.
- Turn on the power.
